We’re rather pleased with these PRR-610 rings! We refurbished them at our workshop and helped the single-handed small farmer refit them to his 4.2m Cultipress machine near Horncastle, Lincolnshire, last week.
As well as supplying the new rings and bearings we also added remote greasing pipes to the machine so the customer didn’t have to run the gauntlet of greasing the bearings whilst on the transport wheels with a block of wood under drawbar!
Another job that came into our workshop recently was a set of four axles from a Lexecon disc harrow. The farmer had stripped the machine but many of the spools, axles and bearings were damaged beyond repair. With parts for this machine difficult to track down, we set about fabricating new spools, axles and bearing spacers.
Once reassembled with new Agricast disc blades the gangs were sent back down to Cornwall for reassembly on the machine.
